Instructor   Isabelle Wheeler, CFA, AMLCA, has more than 30 years of experience working for and with financial institutions to help them manage their clients, products and services, and the risks associated with both. Her career began in wealth management, working at some of the most well-known financial institutions, including Citibank, Chase Manhattan Bank, Banco Santander and BNP Paribas. Her career progressed from relationship manager, covering clients from virtually every region of South and Central America, to investment advisor, Director of Products and Services and Director of Marketing and Sales.
In 2014 she began consulting with those same financial institutions to help them manage risks in the areas of BSA/AML and OFAC, fiduciary risks and providing training to industry professionals. She recently joined Foodman CPAs and Advisors, a full-service accounting firm specializing in forensic accounting, financial services industry compliance and tax consulting services as Director of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance. She is a Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA) instructor for both Wealth Management and BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance. Isabelle received a BA with Distinction from the University of Virginia, with a major concentration in Latin American Studies. She received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and FIBA’s AMLCA Certification. She has been an active Member of the Board of FIBA for many years and is the current Chair of the Membership Committee. Previously, she was President and Board Member of CFA Miami. She has been recognized by the industry for her leadership skills, and is a regular panelist for industry conferences. Isabelle is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Participants who successfully complete the program, will: - Know the business – Identify and analyze the products and services of the Heritage Management business.
- Understand the process – Analyze and understand the main operational requirements of the business and the work of the Management staff to meet the needs of customers.
- Follow the rules – Understand the regulatory framework that regulates the business and the role played by each wealth management professional, ensuring full compliance.
Online CWMA Certification
The online course is an interactive option design for participants interested in completing the certification at their own pace. Through open forums and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to actively engaged with the instructor and classmates to discuss the assigned materials. Participants will have 90 days to complete the reading materials, PowerPoint narratives, practice quizzes and the final certification exam. .
Certification Exam
The final certification exam consist of 100 multiple choice questions that must be completed within 1 hour and 45 minutes. Participants must pass the exam with a 75% or higher mark to receive the prestigious FIBA AMLCA Certification.
